Currently we are offering whole or half hogs for reservation.

Whole or Half Hog: $5.00/lb, sold by hanging weight

All processing is done at the Butcher Block, Versailles Ohio.

We require a $200 deposit to reserve your processing date.

How it works
After you put your deposit down on a whole or half hog and you have a processing date reserved, you will be notified 2 weeks before the hog is dropped off at the Butcher Block. At that time, we will go over how you want your meat processed. The hog will be weighed and sold to you by hanging weight (carcass weight, not live weight) and the weight and amount owed will be texted to you with payment options.
Approximately 1-2 weeks later, the butcher will contact you letting you know that your meat is ready to pick up. Processing fees will be paid directly to The Butcher Block at the time of pick up.

170 lb average hanging weight X $5.00/lb = $850​​ +
$350 average processing fee = $1200 average total cost
(*hanging weights will range from 130-190 lbs)​
(*Processing fees will vary depending on cuts)
You can expect to put in your freezer approximately 65% of the hanging weight in usable product.
