About Our Farm

We are the James and Nikki Schulze Family! In 2018 we started our farm with one cow and a goat. We have since grown to nearly 1000 animals including sheep, pigs, goats, and cattle.

Our family has always been health conscience with the majority of the food that we eat being organic. It was always hard to find locally grown meats that met our standards, so we decided to start raising it for ourselves and our family and friends. In 2025 we decided to expand and start sharing our meat products with our community.

All of our animals are pasture raised and rotated to fresh paddocks regularly. The cattle and sheep are 100% grass-fed and grass finished, while the pigs are supplemented with organic swine feed.

Regenerative Practices

We utilize regenerative practices to build soil health which translates to more nutrition in the diets of our animals on pasture and ultimately more nutrient dense meats.

Depending on the season and the species of animal, we rotate pastures up to 4X per day with a minimum of once per week allowing the animals to always have access to fresh forage.

Our livestock live on pasture year around and are given access to shelter and organic hay during the winter months.

We do not use chemicals or synthetic fertilizers on our pastures. By managing the movement of the livestock through the farm it allows long rest periods for plenty of regrowth in our pastures as well as plant variety so the animals can get the vitamins they need from their forage.

So why the name Immaculata Farms?

Our farm is named after the Mother of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary. When Mary appeared in Lourdes France to St. Bernadette in the year 1858, she appeared under the title "The Immaculate Conception".

As Catholics, we know that Mary is a powerful intercessor for us at the foot of Jesus and she watches over her children as our Mother. We have consecrated our lives and all of our possessions including our farm to Jesus through Mary. We trust that through her intercession and watchful hand she will lead us closer to her son Jesus guiding our every action and decision to be pleasing offerings to her Son.
